I completed my Master of Arts in Counseling from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. I have always been drawn to the “why” behind the human experience, which eventually led me down the path of becoming a therapist. It’s been a fantastically rewarding journey, and I feel truly honored to sit beside my clients as they work towards deepening their capacity for change. As someone who has also undergone her fair share of therapy, I intimately know the strength and discomfort required to take the plunge in sharing the darkest and most vulnerable parts of yourself with someone else.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Addiction Counselor, and CCTP (Certified Clinical Trauma Professional) clinician in the state of Colorado, I have a combined 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. I have volunteered as a peer mentor to teens needing after-school support through the Bridge Project (University of Denver) as well as through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado, and worked for many years as a job coach for adults with developmental disabilities. Post-Masters I ran therapeutic groups and conducted individual therapy for men in the Denver County Jail’s RISE program, focusing on providing mental health support to those facing recurring complications from substance use. As part of my Master’s program, I gained experience in additional areas of eating disorder treatment and career counseling.

I prioritize creating a non-judgmental space for my clients to work on healing anxiety, depression, trauma, self-growth, self-esteem, and any issues that are blocking their ability to access self-love, growth, and acceptance. Clients describe me as “welcoming”, “warm”, “humorous”, and “fiercely unshakeable”. Areas of specialty within my work are anxiety, substance use, and low self-esteem, and my therapeutic style is rooted in an attachment lens utilizing depth and humanistic approaches. This means that we will explore early influential relationships, recurring emotional themes, how you choose relationships, memories and feelings that have been repressed, and influences hidden just outside of your awareness. Together we will work to re-discover aspects of you that feel inaccessible, helping you to feel more aware and less anxious. Depth therapy helps us pull the curtain back to integrate these elements of ourselves into our everyday lives in order to feel more at ease with who we are. As a Humanistic therapist this means that I believe that people are inherently good, and that a vital catalyst for change and growth comes from providing empathy and unconditional positive regard.

Being alive in this day and age is...complicated. Often the experiences we have in life can set the stage for how we enter relationships, handle difficulties, and ultimately how we treat and think about ourselves. And can cause problems for us. So why not re-work them? As a firm believer in the intangible and interconnected spaces that weave our lives together, I often resource the heart, the soul, and the integration of self in my therapy processes. All are welcome in my practice.

As a self-proclaimed honorary Colorado native, I immensely enjoy any time spent outdoors. Hiking, climbing, and paddle boarding are passionate hobbies of mine, along with reading fantasy books, cooking, and listening to true crime podcasts (yes, I’m one of those folks). Outside of these activities, I usually spend any free time I have with my partner and my cat, Tuna.
